Rotary cup spray gun | Black hardware coating: Say goodbye to orange peel texture and particles.

Rotary cup spray gun

The black metal part, which the customer painted using a regular spray gun, shows obvious orange peel, graininess, and poor leveling on its surface. These are common painting defects.

Feature:
  • Finer atomization

Rotary cup spray guns use centrifugal force generated by high-speed rotation to atomize the paint more evenly and finely, resulting in a very smooth coating surface.

  • Higher powder application rate

It has higher spraying efficiency, and its paint utilization rate is 2-3 times that of ordinary spray guns, which can save on paint costs.

Q2 Automatic Powder Rotary Cup Spray Gun for Automated Powder Coating Lines

Q2 Automatic Powder Rotary Cup Spray Gun
The QXD-Q2 automatic powder rotary cup spray gun is a new-generation powder coating solution that combines rotary cup atomization, electrostatic control, and automated operation in one system. Based on the integrated technology of high-speed centrifugal atomization, electrostatic adsorption, and intelligent program control, it is designed for automated production lines and supports parameter memory and one-touch switching. It is suitable for large-scale coating applications such as automotive parts, home appliances, and aluminum profiles, helping manufacturers improve coating quality, increase production efficiency, and reduce dependence on manual operation.

Feature:
  • High-precision uniform spraying

    Applications

With a wide spray pattern range, the QXD-Q2 is suitable for a variety of small metal parts such as handles, hinges, and other hardware components. It helps improve coating uniformity on edges, corners, and detailed surfaces. Precise electrostatic control supports better powder adhesion, helping reduce powder waste and rebound during production. Its lightweight structure is also suitable for automated reciprocating operation, making it a practical solution for high-frequency coating of small workpieces.

  • Reduce costs and increase efficiency.

The paint application rate increased to over 60%, reducing paint costs by 40%; paint mist emissions were reduced by 80%, easily meeting standards with zero additional investment.

Rotary Cup Spray Gun & Conventional Spray Gun: Unlocking the pinnacle of quality and efficiency in lighting fixture coating.

Rotary Cup Spray Gun & Conventional Spray Gun

The core unique selling point of the rotary cup spray gun lies in its dual core technologies of "high-speed centrifugal force + electrostatic adsorption," which enables a qualitative leap in spraying performance.

Feature:
  • Excellent spraying effect.

With the combined technologies of high-speed centrifugation and electrostatic adsorption, we overcome the challenges of coating complex curved surfaces and intricate details of lighting fixtures, achieving complete coverage without blind spots, resulting in a uniform and delicate paint film, and ensuring precise and consistent quality in mass production.

  • High production efficiency

It can seamlessly integrate with robots to achieve 24-hour automated continuous operation, eliminating reliance on manual labor and reducing labor costs and operational risks.

QXD Coating helps improve coating in Faraday cage areas

QXD Coating

helps reduce the Faraday cage effect

  • What is the Faraday cage effect and how does the Q7 solve it?

The Faraday cage effect occurs when electric field lines cannot penetrate recessed areas, corners, or enclosed geometries — causing powder to skip those spots entirely. The Q7 solves this with rotary centrifugal atomization (~2,000 RPM), which generates a spiral cross-pattern that physically drives powder into dead angles without relying on airflow. Unlike conventional corona guns, the Q7 delivers uniform coverage even on complex metal parts.

  • How much powder can the Q7 save compared to conventional guns?

The Q7 typically saves 8–12% of powder per project compared to conventional corona guns. This is achieved through precise rotary atomization that reduces overspray and bounce-back, especially on complex parts. Over a full production run, this directly lowers material costs and reduces rework rate by up to 30%.

  • Is the Q7 suitable for complex parts like tubes, frames, and corners?

Yes. The Q7 is specifically engineered for challenging geometries including square tubes, round tubes, welded frames, inner corners, and recessed slots. Its centrifugal rotary atomization penetrates dead angles that conventional corona guns cannot reach, making it ideal for furniture, shelving, automotive brackets, and industrial metal fabrication.

  • What is the difference between corona charging and rotary atomization?

Corona charging uses a high-voltage needle to create an electrostatic field, but this method struggles with the Faraday cage effect on enclosed areas. Rotary atomization (used in the Q7) spins a cup at high speed to centrifugally atomize powder, creating a spiral pattern that physically penetrates recessed surfaces. The result: better dead-angle coverage, finer finish, and no discharge needle to replace.
